What can I do with SVC's Net Banking service?
When you bank through Net banking you are doing so in the convenience of your home or office, anywhere in the world. By enabling your account through Net Banking, you gain a lot of additional advantages and convenience at no additional costs. Some of them are:
  1. Balance /Statement Enquiry- Net banking enables you to view all your accounts across branches at different geographical locations on a single screen and transact on them. With Net banking you can get statements with view/print/save option according to your preferences for any date range.
  2. Funds Transfer(Between own a/cs)-Net banking allows you to Transfer Funds to your own Linked accounts within SVC Bank.
  3. Cheque Book Issue/ Draft Issue-Net banking allows you to place Online requests for Cheque Book/Demand Draft.
  4. Stop Payment- Stop Payments can be marked Online through Net banking.
  5. Bill Pay-Net banking provides you facility for Utility payments. Net banking enables you to do Online Shopping and Payments over the Internet.
  6. Third Party Funds Transfer-SVC Bank A/cs-Transfer of Funds to Third party accounts within SVC Bank is possible through Net banking.
  7. Third Party Funds Transfer-Other Bank A/cs- Net banking allows you to Transfer Funds to Third party accounts at Other Banks through NEFT.
  8. New Services added like - ASBA/PIN generation/Stop card/Change ATM pin.
How current is the account information I access through Net Banking?
Account information is real time. When transfers are made online, the debit and credit will appear in each account once a confirmation number is given by the system. If you make a withdrawal at an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), the information is posted to your account as soon as SVC Bank receives the data from either the ATM vendor or merchant. Cheque Book Request and Draft Issue through Net Banking are non-instantaneous request where by the Customer will have to approach respective SVC Branch to collect the same.
Who is eligible for NetBanking
  • SVC Bank Customers will get “All Services” of Internet Banking, where the Account's Mode of Operation is Single/ Either or Survivor/ Anyone or Survivor*
  • Only viewing of account, i.e. “Balance & Statement” option will be provided to accounts, where the Mode of Operation is Jointly / Any two Jointly/ All Jointly / Specific Instructions.
How to register for Net Banking?
For Net Banking registration,SVC Bank Customer has to contact the nearest SVC Branch for a printed application form or download the application form from our website. The Net Banking Application form should be signed by all the account holders whose name appears in the account and submitted to the nearest SVC Branch. After the registration formalities are completed, Net Banking Login Id will be emailed to Customer's registered Email address.
Is Net banking facility extended to all branches of SVC Bank?

Can I register Loan accounts?
No.
Can I register my Account for Viewing of Account Only; without enabling transactions in the account?
Yes, if the account holder specifically requests us to do so. The Customer can opt for only Balance Enquiry and Statement Enquiry facility by approaching the nearest SVC Branch.
How soon can the processes of enabling Netbanking operations completed?
On receipt of the Netbanking application, Netbanking Division will process the compliance details of the application and sends a PIN -mailer containing password to the customer's registered address within 7 working days from the date of application. Accounts will be enabled as soon as the customer logs in to his/her account using the user id and password.
What will happen if the customer does not use Netbanking for a long time after enabling this facility?
Netbanking will deny access to the accounts through Internet unless the account is accessed at least once in 365 days. However, the Netbanking account can be re enabled on taking up the matter with your account pertaining branch.
Is e-mail address compulsory for the Registration of Net Banking?
Yes, it is compulsory to give e-mail address in the Netbanking application; as all correspondence/intimation will be addressed to the Netbanking subscribers to their e-mail address only. Please note SVC Bank will never send you e-mails asking for your confidential details of your Account/ Password / PIN or Personal parameters, such as Date of Birth, Mother's maiden name etc. Beware of anyone asking you of such information on behalf of SVC Bank through E-mails or Phone calls.
What is a Net Banking Login Id?
Login Id is an Identification name which enables the Net Banking system to recognize you as a Net banking customer and enable Net banking operation over the Internet.
What is a Net Banking Login Password?
Login Password is the Password that the customer needs to use with the Login id in order to login into the Net Banking account. On receiving your Net Banking application, Login Password/Transaction Password will be generated and couriered to your registered Home/Office address.
What is a Net Banking Transaction Password?
Transaction Password is the password that the customer would need to use for doing all transactions including Third Party Fund Transfer transaction/Bill Payment etc.
Why are the User name and password so cryptic?
The user name and password are system generated. During your first visit to Online SVC, you must mandatorily change your password to the one which is more memorable to you.
What should I do if I cannot read some digits of the password?
Login/Transaction Password is a number randomly generated by the system, and the only person having access to it is you. We would therefore request you to apply for regeneration of the password.
Can my Login & Transaction password be the same?
No. You should have separate passwords.
What happens if I forget my Net Banking User ID?
If you forget the Net Banking User ID, kindly approach the nearest SVC branch for further assistance.
I am getting the message "access denied", what do I do?
Reasons you could be locked for:
  • Login Id is incorrect.
  • Login Password is case-sensitive and may not have been entered in the same lower or upper case as mentioned in the PIN envelope sent to you.
  • The account has not been accessed for more than 365 days.
  • You have entered the wrong password three (3) times and could be a user error on your part
  • If the password has been forgotten, then we have to regenerate on an authenticated request from you. For regeneration of Password, kindly approach your nearest SVC Branch.
I have not received Password, how can I obtain it?
The password will be sent to your registered address with the bank. If you have not received the password, kindly contact the nearest SVC branch which will take your request for anew password.
Why should I change my password when I access Net Banking for the first time?
This is mandatory for security reasons. Moreover this gives you an option to select a password of your own choice that you will be comfortable with.
Can I authorize someone else to receive the password on my behalf?
No. For security reasons we do not recommend third party authorization.
I am always on the move. Can you deliver the password to my nearest SVC Bank branch?
NO. For security reasons we do not allow this procedure.
How often must I change my Login password?
Since there is no restriction on the number of times you can change your Login password, it is up to you to decide when to change the password. We suggest that you must change your password as frequently as possible or whenever you feel that the password has been compromised.
How often must I change my Transaction password?
Customer would need to use Transaction Password for Third Party Fund Transfer transaction/Bill Payment. Customer would be prompted to change Transaction Password once in 90 days.
What happens if I am logged into my Internet banking account and the computer gets shut down accidently?
In this case your User Id will be logged out automatically after 15 minutes. So, you can try to login after that.

What types of accounts are included in Netbanking?
Netbanking can be given to customers maintaining SB / CA / CC / OD / TL Accounts Only.
Will Netbanking display all my existing or future accounts automatically once I register for it?
No. Normally accounts specifically requested in Netbanking application or otherwise added later only will be available in Netbanking. All eligible accounts can be included in Netbanking if requested by the account holder. In other words, the account holder has to decide and submit the Net Banking application form (duly signed by all the account/s holders of the – already linked or/and new account/s to be linked)
Should the primary a/c holder be present in all linked a/c's?
Yes, the primary A/c holder must be an A/c holder of the other A/c that needs to be linked
How can I remove accounts from my Netbanking facility?
In order to help you in any of the above scenario, we require a written instruction from you (duly signed by all the account/s holders of the – already linked or/and new account/s to be linked) & the same needs to be submitted at the branch where you got your self registered for SVC Net Banking (Primary Branch).
How can I make an online request for cheque book/drafts?
Cheque Book Issue/Drafts Issue can be requested online. Customer will have to approach respective Branch to collect the same by submitting his online acknowledgement number.

View & Pay is an extremely simple, convenient and secure way to view and pay your bills. You can do all this from the comfort of your house or office, over the Internet - any time, any place.

Paying bills with View & Pay simplifies your life. Your payments are made quickly and conveniently, and you no longer have to track multiple utility bills, write multiple checks or balance your checkbook.
How do I register and make payments through SVC Bill Pay?
Click on Login icon on the webpage and click on 'Register Now'. Complete the Registration form, all mandatory information will have to be provided. On clicking the submit button you will be taken to a secure payment gateway web-page, where you will be asked to authenticate yourself by providing your SVC Bank Account details. You will get an immediate e-mail confirmation of your registration You can then check the due amount on each of your bills, and click on payment option to make automatic payment using your SVC Bank Account. It is as simple as that! Depending on the terms of the biller, you can also use this service to make part payments or interim payments to some billers (e.g. for your cell phone etc). The payment page of the individual billers outlines the flexibility offered by that specific biller for your payment, viz. in terms of payments beyond due dates, part payments etc. You need to make your payments in conformity with those terms. You will need to ensure that the biller registration details entered by you are correct to enable the billers to raise your bills.
Will I get any confirmation regarding the registration for Bill Pay?
You will get an immediate e-mail confirmation following your successful registration, subject to validation of your SVC Bank Account being in active status. You can start adding billers into your account.
How many billing companies, can I register for?
There is no restriction on the number of billers that you can register for as long as the biller is from the list provided.
How do I add billers after Registration?
You can then login into your account and start adding billers . Subject to your providing correct biller details all future bills raised within a week of your biller addition date will start getting raised in your account.
When can I start paying my bills through this facility?
Subject to correct submission of the biller details by you, all your future bills that are raised within 1 week of your biller addition date, will start getting raised in your account. Incase any of your biller addition gets rejected you will be able to view the status when you log in.
How will I know that my bill has been received at SVC Bill Pay?
You will receive an e-mail/sms alert every time your bill is received. Login into your account, check the amount and make a payment by clicking on the auto-Instant pay button.
How can I pay bills using the View & Pay Service?
You can pay bills by clicking on the auto-Instant pay button. All the details from your bill is automatically captured, you can validate and click on the submit button. This will take you to a secure payment gateway, where you will have to provide your SVC Bank Account details. You will get a confirmation immediately on transacting on whether the transaction has been approved.
Which account can I use to pay my bills?
You can use SB/CA/OD Accounts which are registered for Internet banking Service.
Is there a fee?
This facility is being provided to customers free of cost.
By when should I make my bill payments?
To ensure that your payments arrive before a due date and to avoid late payment charges, you need to make your payment at least 3 working days before the bill due date.
Can I pay bills after their due date?
The biller specific terms are clearly indicated on the biller page when you are validating the Instant pay screen. Please adhere to them strictly. Where billers do not entertain late payments, any payment made by you after due date is liable to be rejected by the biller with attendant penalties.
Once I pay the bill, when will my account get debited and when will the utility company receive my payment?
On payment of the bill your account will get immediately debited online and the payment is sent to the utility company by the next working day. The same will get credited to your utility account in 3 working days time.
Can I pay someone else's bills?
Yes, you can pay someone else's bill through SVC Bill pay.
What proof of payment do I have when I pay through SVC Bill pay?
When your payment has been successfully made, you get a reference number for your transaction. Your SVC Bank Account statement will also include the details of your transaction under Instant pay transaction. This amount will be inclusive of the processing fee charged for each transaction.
If I am registered for View & Pay in a city, can I pay my bills from any other city?
Yes, you can pay your bills from any location through internet.. E.g. If you are registered for MTNL at Mumbai, and you are currently in Bangalore, even then you can view and pay your MTNL bill through the internet.
Is there a limit on the size of a payment I can make?
Please ensure you have free/unutilized credit limit in your account to make the payment otherwise the transaction will not get authorized.
Will I still receive my physical bill?
You will continue to receive your Physical bill even after registering for the service with us.
How do I stop a payment after it has been made?
SVC Bill pay has no way to stop a payment after it has been processed. You should contact your biller.
What are the risks I should be aware of?
Invalid payments: It is your responsibility to ensure that Biller, payment and SVC Bank Account details provided by you to are accurate and complete. The payment will be processed solely on the basis of the payment details you enter and confirm. If the details entered by you are incorrect or not as per the terms specified by the biller, then even though your payments may be successfully processed at View & Pay the biller may reject them. The bank is not responsible for delays in processing of payments or rejections by your biller caused by your failure to provide us with accurate bill related information. You will be responsible for any additional fees/charges levied by either your biller or Biller in the event of a declined View & Pay payment. In the event of a declined payment, your bill will remain unpaid.
How can I get a copy of the View & Pay Terms and Conditions?
You can print the Terms and Conditions page by clicking the Print icon on your browser's Tool bar, or by selecting the Print function from your browser's File menu.
Is View & Pay secure ?
View & Pay employs the best-in-class security so that the transactions done through the View & Pay service are secure. View & Pay uses Secure Socket Layers (SSL) data encryption. Using SSL ensures that the information you exchange with SVC Bill Pay is never transmitted over the Internet unencrypted and cannot be viewed by unauthorized individuals. View & Pay uses SSL to protect users from unauthorized tampering or viewing of their account and billing information. This encryption is done using 128-bit RC4 encryption.

Which Utility Bill can be registered for Internet Banking?
You can benefit by registering various utility bills. Go to the Billers List Option to see the list of the companies which accept both Instant Bill & Registration of Bills.
I am trying to pay an Instant Bill to my Service Provider, however it is not getting accepted. Why?
Go to the Billers list option to see the list of the companies which accept Instant Bill payments. Check whether your Service Provider is included in InstaPay Billers/Payment Gateway list. If not, You need to register the bill & later benefit from the Online Bill payment Service.
1) Please note that All account (s) (Other than TL & CC) will be available while paying your bills using the Bill-Pay / Transaction facility.
2) Funds Transfer facility is not available for NRE & NRO account. Incase of Pvt. Ltd. / Pub. Ltd account, it is Mandatory to submit a Resolution as per Bank's format authorizing the signatories to register and operate the Net Banking service.

NEFT The acronym "NEFT" stands for National Electronic Funds Transfer. This is a Debit originating transaction.   • For transactions settled in the last two batches on week days and the last batch on Saturdays, beneficiaries can expect to get credit either on the same day or on the next working day morning (depending on the type of facility enjoyed by the beneficiary with his bank). The actual time taken to credit the beneficiary depends on the time taken by the beneficiary bank to process the payment.
  • NEFT Timings are subject to change.

What are the various reasons for rejection of TPFT request?
TPFT can be rejected due to the following reasons:
  • If you have not given the correct details for the beneficiary (including the beneficiary account number, IFSC code number or the beneficiary name). In such a case, if the transaction is rejected by the beneficiary bank we will credit the funds into your account once we receive the funds from RBI.
  • If your account does not have sufficient clear funds to cover the TPFT amount requested for or has debit restrictions due to which the funds could not be debited from your account.
What happens if I transfer funds to the wrong payee account?

Yes. Simply select the 3rd party payee from the existing payee list and click "Delete Payee" .

IMPS is an innovative real time payment service that is available round the clock. This service is offered by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) that empowers customers to transfer money instantly through banks and RBI authorized Prepaid Payment Instrument Issuers (PPI) across India.
What are the modes available under IMPS Funds Transfer using Personal Internet Banking?
  1. IMPS Transfer - P2P (Person to Person) using Mobile Number and MMID provided by beneficiary/payee
  2. IMPS Transfer- P2A (Person to Account) using IFSC and Account Number provided by beneficiary/payee
What is MMID?
Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) is a 7 digit random number, issued by banks. MMID is one of the input which when clubbed with mobile number facilitates fund transfer under IMPS. Combination of Mobile number & MMID is uniquely linked with an Account number and helps in identifying the beneficiary/payee details.
I have 2 accounts with SVC. Do I need to have separate MMID for each account?
Yes, every account needs to have its own separate MMID.
Is this Facility available for NRE/NRO Customers?
NRE/NRO accounts presently cannot use IMPS mode for transfer/receipt of funds. MMID cannot be generated for NRE/NRO accounts
Can I link more than one account to the same mobile number?
Yes, you can link more than one account to the same mobile number. However each A/C no. will have different MMID.
What are the timings for initiating and receiving IMPS remittances?
IMPS transactions can be sent and received 24X7, (round the clock), including on holidays through Personal Internet Banking.
How do I transfer funds using IMPS Transfer Facility?
To transfer funds using IMPS,
  • Debit Account should be registered for SMS Banking
  • MMID needs to be generated for Debit Account using "Request MMID" feature.
Thereafter funds can be transferred with IMPS Transfer P2P(MMID-Mobile Number) or IMPS Transfer P2A(IFSC-AccNo).
How do I generate MMID to send/receive funds using IMPS Transfer?
To generate MMID using Personal Internet Banking, "Request MMID" feature needs to be used.
What details do I need to share with the sender to receive money via IMPS?
Depending on the facility provided by the sender bank, you need to share
  1. your 10 digit sms banking registered mobile number and the 7 digits MMID of your Bank account (P2P)
  2. your bank account number and IFSC
Is Payee registration and Cooling Period necessary while remitting through Personal Internet Banking?
Payee Registration is necessary for remittance using IFSC code and Account Number. Funds can be remitted without Payee registration in P2P mode using the MMID and mobile number of the Beneficiary/Payee upto a maximum of Rs 5000/- per day.
What happens in case the remitter enters a wrong account number/IFSC and wrong MMID/Mobile No. for remittance?
Customer should exercise caution while entering payee details and input correct Payee details. Payee details entered by Customer are entirely at his/her risk and responsibility. The Bank does not take any responsibility and shall also not be liable for claims of incorrect details/data keyed-in by the Customer. Since the Bank has already remitted the funds to the beneficiary/payee, the transaction would be considered as valid. The amount cannot be refunded.
Will I receive any intimation from the bank for the IMPS transaction?
On successful completion of the transaction, alerts will be sent on your mobile number and email ID registered with the bank.
What happens if my mobile phone is lost?
You would have to inform Bank and deactivate your Mobile banking services.
If I change my Mobile number, do I again need to register for SMS Banking?
Yes, customer needs to update their new mobile number with their branch.
If I change my Telecom service provider and my Mobile Number remains the same, do I need to generate MMID again?
No need for re-generating MMID if there is no change in mobile number.
Is the facility of Stop payments available in an IMPS transaction?
No, IMPS is an immediate fund transfer service, after initiating the payment request payment cannot be stopped or cancelled.
Where do I register a complaint with reference to the IMPS transaction?
Customer can log IMPS complaint with their respective branch or SVC website – Complaints- NEFT/IMPS
What are the charges levied by the bank for sending and receiving remittances using IMPS?
Charges for IMPS Funds Transfer (Charges for the Remitter) are applicable as displayed on the SVC Bank's website, from time to time. There are no charges for receiving IMPS.
In case I Forget MMID, how can I retrieve it?
In case you forget the MMID you can SMS VIEWMMID to 9820620454 from your registered mobile number to view already generated MMID. SMS GENMMID to 9820620454 to generate MMID.If 2 a/cs registered for same mobile number, MMID got for secondary only.
How long does it take for the money to get credited into the beneficiary account?
For successful transaction, your beneficiary's account would be instantaneously credited.

What is One Time Password (OTP) ?
SVC Bank has implemented an extra layer of security to the Net Banking Transactions by introducing Two factor authentications (2FA) by way of a SMS/E-mail based One Time Password (OTP). This is required in addition to the transaction level password presently in place. OTP consists of 8 numeric characters (case sensitive). The validity time of each OTP is 100 seconds.
As soon as you initiate an online transaction, an OTP would be sent by way of an SMS to resident customers on Mobile Number and NRI customers on e-mail ID Registered with SVC Bank.
Please ensure that your mobile number and your email ID is updated with us to be able to transact online.
When will I be asked to enter OTP ?
As soon as you initiate an online transaction or Add a New Payee , an OTP would be sent by way of an SMS to resident customers on Mobile Number and NRI customers on e-mail ID Registered with SVC Bank. Besides the Transaction password, you will have to type the OTP to complete the Net Banking Transaction.
OTP is confidential and should not be shared with anyone, even if the person claims to be an SVC Bank official.
What is the process for Activation of New Payees for Third Party Funds Transfer?
In order to offer enhanced security for our customers, OTP would be applicable for addition of Payees for Third Party Funds Transfer.

Steps for Authorisation & Activation of Third Party Payees :
  • New Payees added would be displayed under the List of Payees Pending For Authorisation.
  • Click on “Authorise” link to approve the Added Payee.
  • One Time Password (OTP) sent by way of SMS needs to be entered for New Payee Authorisation.
  • After Authorisation, New Payee would be displayed under the List of InActive Payees.
  • Cooling Period has been introduced for New Payees
  • Transactions would be permitted for new payees on expiry of Cooling period.
  • Activation On displays Date time after which transactions will be permitted for the New Payee
  • After Activation, New Payee would be displayed under the List of Active Payees
I am a Resident customer. What should I do if I do not receive OTP on my mobile number registered with SVC Bank ?

I am an NRI customer. What should I do if I do not receive OTP on my email registered with SVC Bank ?
If you hold a NRI account, please check if the e-mail id updated in your account is correct. You need to login into your account & click on “My Profile” link to view your registered E-mail Id & Mobile no.
To update new e-mail ID, NRI customers need to e-mail the request from their registered e-mail ID to their Base Branch.
How do I know which OTP should be entered if I receive multiple OTPs ?
A Reference Id is generated & is unique for each OTP sent to you. In case you have generated multiple OTP. You should confirm the current OTP by tallying the Reference Id. It is sent with the OTP & the same Reference Id is viewable online as well.
How do I make online transactions if I do not receive OTP ?
If you do not receive OTP, please check if the mobile number registered in your account is correct. You need to login into your account & click on “My Profile” link to view your registered Mobile no. & E-mail Id. To update mobile number, resident customers need to submit a request letter (signed by all the account holders) at their Base Branch. And to update new e-mail ID, NRI customers need to e-mail the request from their registered to their Base Branch.
I am entering correct OTP but it still states incorrect?
You can make 3 attempts to successfully use any OTP generated. In case of 3 unsuccessful attempts or you miss to type OTP, you will have to enter the transaction request again. OTP consists of 8 alpha numeric characters. And it is case sensitive. You will get the above msg only if OTP is typed incorrectly. Each OTP is valid for single transaction. OTP has to be entered within a specific time period. The validity time of each OTP is 100 seconds.
Can I use the same OTP multiple times ?
No. OTP is a dynamic password and is valid for single transaction only.
How to register for Net Banking?
For Net Banking registration, SVC Bank Customer has to contact the nearest SVC Branch for a printed application form or download the application form from our website. The Net Banking Application form should be signed by all the account holders whose name appears in the account and submitted to the nearest SVC Branch. After the registration formalities are completed, Net Banking Login Id will be emailed to Customer’s registered Email address.

  6. Third Party Funds Transfer-SVC Bank A/cs-Transfer of Funds to Third party accounts within SVC Bank is possible through Net banking.
  7. Third Party Funds Transfer-Other Bank A/cs- Net banking allows you to Transfer Funds to Third party accounts at Other Banks through NEFT.
